With a simple purpose: to bring authentic Ayurvedic formulations to Indian families — not as luxury imports or complicated regimens, but as honest, effective daily medicines that actually work.

It started with a gap.

India has one of the richest traditions of herbal medicine in the world. Ayurveda has been treating liver disease, hormonal imbalance, fatigue, and immunity problems for over three thousand years. The knowledge exists. The herbs exist. The formulas are documented in classical texts that have been studied for centuries.

But in 2008, most Ayurvedic products available in India were either poorly formulated, under-dosed, or manufactured without the quality standards that consumers deserved. The gap between what Ayurveda could deliver and what most products actually delivered was significant.

Radium Lifesciences was founded to close that gap.

What we set out to do differently.

From the beginning, we made three commitments that have not changed in fifteen years.

First: Every formula we create would be grounded in classical Ayurvedic texts — not invented for marketing, not assembled randomly, but drawn from the same knowledge base that Ayurvedic practitioners have used for millennia. We would add to that the validation of modern research wherever it existed.

Second: We would dose for therapeutic effect, not for label appeal. A herb at 5mg does something different than the same herb at 400mg. Ashwagandha in Herbofit is dosed at 400mg per 10ml because that is the range the evidence supports. Ashoka in Femiwell is dosed at 400mg per 5ml because that is what classical practice and modern research both indicate is necessary for genuine uterine effect. We have never put an ingredient in a formula to make the label look impressive.

Third: We would manufacture to pharmaceutical standards. Not because we are required to, but because our customers deserve it. Every batch of every product we release is made in a GMP certified facility and held to ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.

Where we are today.

Fifteen years later, those three commitments are still the company. We have five products across liver health, women’s reproductive wellness, and family vitality. Every one of them was developed using the same methodology: start with classical Ayurvedic texts, validate with modern research, formulate for therapeutic effect, manufacture properly.

We ship free across India. We price our products for real Indian families, not as aspirational wellness imports. We do not put synthetic hormones in our women’s health products. We do not add chemical stimulants to our energy supplements. We do not use marketing language that is not backed by the formulas we actually make.

That is the whole story. It is not complicated. But it is consistent — and consistency, in medicine, is everything.

Every herb in every formula is sourced for authentic therapeutic use. We do not use fillers, we do not pad ingredient lists, and we do not substitute cheaper alternatives for the herbs that are supposed to be there. What the label says is what is in the bottle.

We dose every ingredient at the level required for genuine therapeutic effect. This is not negotiable. An under-dosed herb is not a medicine. It is a label claim. We refuse to make products that perform only on paper.

Our formulations draw from the Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and other classical Ayurvedic texts — the same sources Ayurvedic physicians have used for three thousand years. We do not invent herbs or combinations for trend-following.

Where peer-reviewed studies validate the mechanisms of herbs in our formulas — and they do for Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Ashoka, Bhumi Amla, and others — we use that evidence. Where research is limited, we defer to the classical record.

ISO 9001:2015 certification is not a marketing badge for us. It is a daily operational standard. GMP certification means our facilities, processes, and batch testing all meet the same requirements as conventional pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Every product we make is designed to be taken every day for months or years. We formulate for long-term safety as a non-negotiable. If an ingredient raises questions about sustained use, it does not go into a formula. Full stop.

Our products are manufactured in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified facilities — the same standard required of conventional pharmaceutical drug manufacturers. This covers facility cleanliness, process documentation, raw material testing, batch records, and finished product testing before any product ships.

Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicine Classification

Our products are classified as Safe Ayurvedic Proprietary Medicines under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act — a regulated category that requires documented formulation, manufacturing licence, and compliance with AYUSH ministry guidelines. Every product carries a valid manufacturing licence number.

Batch Testing and Quality Assurance

Every batch of every product we manufacture is tested before it is released. We test for identity, purity, potency, and microbiological safety. No batch ships without passing all tests. This is not a legal requirement we reluctantly comply with — it is the minimum standard we consider acceptable for medicines people take into their bodies.
